About Sagrario

Expertise built across decades of dedicated practice

Sagrario Castilla began her Pilates journey in Mexico in the early 1980s, training in Contrology under Gloria Contreras — who was herself trained by Carola Trier, a protégé of Joseph Pilates himself.

She completed her teacher-training certification at Canada’s National Ballet School in Toronto, and opened her studio here in 1994. Her practice has never stopped evolving — she continues her education with leading figures in Pilates and movement therapy, including Irene Dowd, Guy Voyer, Marika Molnar, and Deborah Lessen.

Most recently, Sagrario has become certified in the Gyrotonic exercise method and now offers classes in this powerful practice.
